Welcome to Avon Prime Meats! Our store offers excellent meats, fresh produce, local grocery and gourmet prepared foods, to make your family meals easy and enjoyable. Our caring and knowledgeable staff is glad to offer advice on cooking or entertaining. We also have a great Deli section, our sandwiches are out of this world! We have established ourselves as the Farmington Valley’s community Butcher, Grocer and Caterer. Our products’ exceptional quality is only surpassed by our warm, energetic & friendly atmosphere.

We know many of our guests by name and enjoy conversing with each of them. Knowing which cut of meat is their favorite or what their kids like is part of what drives us each day to give our best! Our focus is to make our guests’ lives easier, by offering great products, expert advice, and prepared meals for family dinners or entertaining.

Our Meats are our essence. We sell only Prime (highest grade of beef) or Premium Choice meats.

Many of our meats are traceable to the farm of origin. We offer all cuts and are always glad to carry out instructions for special cuts. We carry our signature bone in pork chops that have amazing marbling and flavor! Our chicken is All Natural, hormone and antibiotics free. We also work with local farms offering local, grass fed and all natural meats as well.

Our exotic meat section is quite popular. In there you can find Bison, Ostrich, Venison, Rabbit, Elk, Cornish Hens, Alligator, Llama, you name it. We either have it or can get it for you. We proudly make our own sausage in house.

We also have skilled Chefs that provide us with ready to go, gourmet meals to make your everyday life easier. Our Deli section carries the highest quality of meat and cheese by Boars Head and Metro Deli. We also carry a great variety of prepared side dishes to make dinner time enjoyable for everyone in your family.

Holidays are a great part of our store. Our roasts are trimmed and tied to perfection and we hand you a card with cooking instructions to guide you into creating a most memorable meal. We brine our Turkey upon request on Thanksgiving, Corned Beef for St. Patrick’s Day, and come up with theme weekends of specialty burger patties, according to the season and to the current sporting events. It’s always fun at Avon Prime Meats!

We are actively involved within our community. At Avon Prime Meats we enjoy supporting Farmington Valley charities, schools and sporting events.
