Hanger Steak

Hanger Steak, or the “Butcher’s Steak”, is the most tender steak you’ve never heard of. Cut from the bottom of the diaphragm, this steak is rich and full of flavor. Typically, this cut hovers at about 1 lb, sometimes a little bigger and sometimes a bit smaller. The dense marbling running throughout will catch your eyes, and make you salivate. It’s overwhelming tenderness always make it a fan favorite no matter who it’s served to. This cut is best cooked on the grill, or in the oven to start and seared off on a pan or on the grill. Grilling may be better if your hanger is a bit thinner. For thicker hangers, we recommend the oven and searing method.

Always slice your hanger steak across the grain when serving. This enhances the tenderness of every bite. Season simply with your favorite seasonings, or drop it in a marinade overnight.
