Quiches

Our Chefs prepare a variety of quiches every week. Each is a wonderful pastry crust filled with a fluffy mixture of eggs, cheese, vegetables, and occasional protein as well. We also have special quiches made for holidays, keep your eye out!

Do you know the history of quiche? Contrary to popular belief, it in fact is not of French origin, but rather German origin. The word itself comes from the Lorraine-Franconian (a German dialect spoken in France) word “küeche”, which means “cake”.

What makes this dish an international favorite is its versatility. You can add nearly whatever ingredients you want. Popular choices are bacon, ham, tomatoes, spinach, broccoli, and of course loads of different cheeses. Any cheese from gouda to ricotta is welcomed in a quiche! You can even find some, including ones our Chefs prepare, made with seafood, such as shrimp or salmon.
