
Chicken Skewers, Your Way!
These chicken skewers will be the star of your cookout! Easy to prep and cook, healthy, and so delicious.
-tri tip steak
-olive oil (or any preferred oil)
-your favorite steak rub
-chimichurri or your favorite sauce (optional)
1. Remove tri tip from refrigerator and place on counter an hour before you cook
2. Lightly coat the tri tip with olive oil, and season with your favorite steak rub. We used @spicewalla cowboy
3. Place the tri tip on a wire rack and cook indirectly in the oven or on a smoker at 275-300° until it reaches an internal temperature of 115°
4. Remove tri tip and sear both sides in a large pan until it reaches your desired doneness. For medium rare, look for a temperature between 130-135° (about 2 minutes per side)
5. Allow the tri tip to rest for 10-15 minutes, and then slice against the grain (The grains may run slightly different ways at both ends. The best way to slice is to cut the tri tip in half, then find the grains on each half and slice 🔪)
6. Top off with @gauchoranchchimichurri or your favorite sauce
